Anyone who knows me, also knows I love pin tucks in fashion. They may seem a bit old school, but in my opinion they add a certain style to a garment. Pin tucks in fashion take a garment from the ordinary, to the stylish. Hence, they are used in the whole garment, the collar or any trim. Another reason for my love of pin tucks used in the whole garment, is it allows some flexibility with sizing of the garment. Pin tucks in fashion tend to make the garment a little bit stretchy.
Today I will focus on Pin Tucks in Fashion for the reason I love them.
Noteworthy – In sewing, a tuck is a fold or pleat in fabric that is sewn in place.
Noteworthy – Pin tucks are small tucks, especially multiple parallel tucks, and may be used to decorate clothing or household linens. When the tucks are very narrow, they are called pintucks or Pin-tucking.
For all of those reasons, I try to incorporate pin tucks in fashion as often as I can. First of all – the pin tucks are now executed by a machine. As a result, hours of time has been saved by not doing the pin tucks by hand. Secondly, and above all, I love them.
